Faculty Development Program on Free Simulators at RGUKT Basar
The ECE Department at RGUKT Basar, in collaboration with NITTTR Chandigarh, organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on leveraging free simulators for effective teaching in laboratory courses.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. Govardhan, emphasized the significance of open-source software in academic laboratories and the crucial role of global communities in their development. He highlighted that the five-day workshop aims to equip faculty members and lab staff with essential skills for teaching Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) lab subjects using platforms such as SkyLab, Virtual Labs, Orange for Machine Learning, and TinkerCAD.
The program, attended by 25 faculty members and lab staff, was coordinated by Dr. V.S.S.K.R. Naganjaneyulu. The event also saw the presence of AO Shri Randhir Sagi, Associate Dean Dr. K. Mahesh, and ECE HoD Shri Sai Radhakrishna.
This initiative marks a significant step toward enhancing technology-driven education and promoting the adoption of open-source tools in academia.
