EV Highlights

Three-Day Workshop on Electric Vehicles Concludes Successfully at Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Basar, Telangana:
A three-day workshop on Electric Vehicles (EVs), held from August 22nd to August 24th, 2025.The workshop was sponsored by the National Mission on Power Electronics Technology (NaMPET) Phase-III, a significant initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. The event aimed to provide comprehensive training and practical knowledge on the rapidly evolving field of electric mobility.
Workshop Highlights and Appreciations
The workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 75 attendees, including students, researchers, and faculty members from various educational institutions and industries across the country. The Chief Investigator of the program, Dr. Namani Rakesh, highlighted the key objectives and outcomes of the workshop.
"Our main goal was to equip participants with a deep understanding of EV technology, covering aspects from basic principles to advanced design and control systems," stated Dr. Rakesh. "The workshop focused on a hands-on approach, allowing participants to work on a designed electric vehicle prototype to understand its components and functionality firsthand."
The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including:
EV Powertrain components and their working principles.
Battery Management Systems (BMS) and thermal management.
Charging infrastructure and standards.
Future scope and challenges in the Indian EV market.
The success of the workshop drew praise from the university leadership. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Govardhan and Respected AO and OSD Prof. E. Muralidarshan, HoD/EE expressed their sincere appreciation for Dr. Namani Rakesh and the entire Department of Electrical Engineering for organizing such a timely and impactful event.
