  • Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering

    The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 2010. The department offers both B. Tech and M. Tech courses. The postgraduate program, M. Tech in Computational Mechanics in Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 2016. The annual intake for B. Tech and M. Tech courses are 120+ and 18 students respectively. The department is enriched with well qualified and committed faculty members along with supportive and enthusiastic lab staff members dedicated to mold the students as industry ready.

    Department has 14 well equipped laboratories contains very advanced equipments including Wire EDM, 3D printer, CMM, CNC, Universal Milling, Robotic Arm, IC engines which enable the students to gain hands on experience of handling basic equipments to advance equipments. The department has well established Design and Simulation Laboratory equipped with 90 high end configuration systems which support the software packages such as Auto CAD, CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS, MATLAB, Deform 3D, Fusion 360 and Inventor which help the students to sharpen their designing skills.

    Department also contains library, innovation lab, research lab to provide an opportunity to explore the latest trends and promote students to participate in various competitions.

    Department has signed MoU with reputed institutes like CITD-Hyderabad, NFTDC and NASSCOM – Qualification Packs to intern our students and improve their job opportunities. Many of the Mechanical Engineering pass out students are well placed in companies like FMC Technologies, Mahindra & Mahindra, BOSCH India, Hyundai, NFTDC, Toshiba, and in many more reputed companies. Department students had participated in various state and national level competitions and have won distinguished prizes and awards.
