About the Internal Committee
The Internal Committee (IC) at RGUKT Basar operates under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013. Its primary mandate is to ensure a safe and secure working and learning environment, free from sexual harassment for all employees and students of the university.
Objectives
- Create and maintain a safe, harassment-free workplace environment for all members of the university community
- Prevent discrimination through gender sensitization initiatives and awareness programmes
- Address complaints in a fair, confidential, and timely manner in accordance with the Act
- Recommend appropriate actions aligned with the legal frameworks and institutional policies
- Conduct regular gender sensitization workshops for students, faculty, and staff
- Maintain and display the university's anti-harassment policy at prominent locations on campus
- Operate a confidential helpline for reporting concerns

How to File a Complaint
- Submit a written complaint to the IC Chairperson or any IC member within 3 months of the incident.
- Alternatively, send an email to ic@rgukt.ac.in.
- All complaints are handled with strict confidentiality.
- An inquiry will be initiated within 7 working days of receiving the complaint.
- The inquiry shall be completed within 90 days from the date of receipt of the complaint.
