Grand Women's day Celebrations at RGUKT Basar
International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Wednesday at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basara campus. The event was organized by the Cultural and Social Activity Club, with active participation from women teaching and non-teaching staff from various departments.
On this occasion, prizes were presented to the winners of sports and cultural competitions conducted earlier for women employees. The awards were distributed by Vice Chancellor Prof. A. Govardhan. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Govardhan highlighted the invaluable role played by women employees in the growth and development of the university. He noted that women today are excelling in all fields of society and contributing significantly to institutional progress.
OSD E. Murali Darshan extended Women’s Day greetings and encouraged women to move forward with confidence in both their professional and personal lives. Cultural Department Chairman Dr. K. Ramulu, Associate Deans Dr. M. Ramadevi, Ms. Lakuma Devi, B. Srividya, Pravallika, Sarika, V. Anusha, B. Shweta, Shirisha, Nagalakshmi, and JA Anusha, along with several staff members and students, attended the celebration.
Guests of honour Ms. Elza Jgereneia and Mrs. Sridevi Rangu inspired students to pursue academic excellence and make use of opportunities for professional growth. Mrs. Rangu also emphasized cyber security awareness for girl students. The programme concluded on a positive note, appreciating the contributions and achievements of women employees.
