The students of RGUKT Basara had a great opportunity in attending the lectures of very prominent persons like Prof. K. Bhanu Sankar Rao, Chair Professor-Ministry of Steel, Government of India, currently working at MGIT Hyderabad, Prof. Dr-Ing. V. S. RAJU, Former Director, IIT Delhi & Professor, IIT Madras and Former Member, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Prof. R V Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar & Former Vice Chancellor of RGUKT, Prof. B. S. Murty, Professor and Head of the department, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Madras, Prof. Indradev Samajdar, Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Bombay, and many more top scientists from various organizations like DMRL, ARCI, IGCAR, IIT’s, NIT’s, and UoH. The detailed list of speakers along with their lecture topics are listed below in chronological order:

  1. Prof. S. B. Jonnalagadda, senior Professor from University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban-South Africa gave invited talk on Role of Green Chemistry in the Treatment of Water for civil and chemical engineering students in AB-I auditorium on 14-02-2017.
  2. Prof. K. Bhanu Sankar Rao, Chair Professor-Ministry of Steel, Government of India, currently working at MGIT Hyderabad, delivered a lecture on “Fatigue testing and evaluation of mechanical behaviour of materials” and also on “Creep-Fatigue-environmental interactions for mechanical evolution of materials”, for Mechanical and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 14th March 2016.
  3. Dr. Partha Ghosal, Scientist G, DMRL, Hyderabad, gave a lecture on “Scanning electron microscopy-working and principle of usages” and also on “Advances in FESEM instrumentation”, for Mechanical and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 14th March 2016.
  4. Dr. K. Narsaiah, Professor and Head of the department, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT Warangal, delivered a lecture on “Mechanical testing of Materials and evaluation of creep, wear and fatigue properties” for Mechanical and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students on 24th January 2016.
  5. Dr. Ajoy Kumar Pandey, Assistant Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, NIT Warangal, delivered a lecture on “XRD-Measurements and analytical methods” for Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students on 24th January 2016.
  6. Dr. G. Madhusudhan Reddy, Scientist H (outstanding scientist), DMRL, Hyderabad, gave a talk on “Solid state welding and processing of metallic materials” for Mechanical and Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students on17th November 2015.
  7. Prof. B. S. Murty, Professor and Head of the department, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Madras, gave a talk on “Advanced materials processing, High Entropy Alloys, research opportunities and direct PhD admissions at IIT Madras” for Metallurgical and Materials Engineering students on 5th March 2015.
  8. Prof. Indradev Samajdar, Professor, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Bombay delivered a lecture on “Texture studies” as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 15th -17th July 2013.
  9. Dr. Arup Dasgupta, Scientist G, IGCAR, Kalpakkam, delivered a lecture on “Thin Film studies” as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 15th -17th July 2013.
  10. Dr. G V Narasimha Rao, ARCI, Hyderabad (Retd), delivered a talk on “X-Ray Diffractometers for Residual Stress” as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basar dated 15th -17th July 2013.
  11. Dr. Partha Goshal, Scientist G, DMRL, Hyderabad gave a talk on “Powerful Optical Microscopy facilities” as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 15th -17th July 2013.

  13. Dr. Koteswar Rao RV, Assistant Professor, School of Engineering Sciences and Technology, University of Hyderabad, delivered a talk on “Thin Film and Nano-Material Characterization” as a part of workshop conducted by RGUKT Basara dated 15th -17th July 2013.
  14. Prof. Dr-Ing. V. S. RAJU, Former Director, IIT Delhi & Professor, IIT Madras and Former Member, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India gave a talk on “Science and technology of human effectiveness – attitudes, values and self renewal” for all the students of RGUKT Basara on 13th March 2013.
  15. Prof. Dr-Ing. V. S. RAJU, Former Director, IIT Delhi & Professor, IIT Madras, and Former Member, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India delivered a lecture titled “Opportunities and Challenges in Indian Infrastructure” for Civil Engineering students on 13th March 2013.
  16. Prof. G Govinda Rao, Senior Professor in GVP College of Engg., Visakhapatnam, delivered a lecture on “Partial Indeterminacy of Networks & Initializing and solving the Electrical networks having all inductor loops and all capacitor cut-sets” for Electronics and Communication Engineering students on 24th and 25th November 2012.
  17. Dr. Upendra Chaitanya, Chinmaya Mission, Hyderabad, gave a talk on “Philosophy of Life as part of the Value Education Program”, dated 5th October, 2012.
  18. Prof. R V Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar & Former Vice Chancellor of RGUKT, delivered a lecture on “Performance of Analog Communication Systems in Noise” for Electronics and Communication Engineering students on 5th September, 2012.
  19. Prof. M. N Rao, Retired Professor from IIT Kharagpur, gave a talk on “Career Guidance”
  20. Mr. Mahendra Mandava, Telecommunications Dallas, Texas, USA, gave a talk on “Wireless Receiver Front-end Design Considerations: LNA to Baseband”, for Electronics and Communication Engineering students on 23rd August, 2012.
  21. Padma Vibhushan Prof P. Rama Rao, Indian scientist noted for his contribution to the field of Physical and Mechanical Metallurgy, gave a talk on “Introduction to Metallurgical & Materials Engineering”, dated 9th June, 2011.
